Your First Visit

Know what to expect before you walk in.

Walking into a new clinic when you're hurting takes something. We want the first visit to feel like relief, not one more thing to figure out. It's a conversation, a brief exam and a test treatment, so you leave knowing how your body responds, not just what we think. Here's how it goes.

Reach out

Apply online, or call or text 337-485-4349. A real person on our team answers your questions and finds a time that works.

Share your story

Sit down with Dr. Brett or Dr. Derrek. Every visit starts with a brief exam: your history, how you move, and what you want back. Take your time. The details you're not sure matter often do.

Understand your options

You'll hear what we found and what we recommend, in plain words. If something isn't a fit, we'll say so. Then you decide. No pressure, ever.

A few things that help.

  • Wear clothes you can move in comfortably.
  • Bring a list of any medications and past imaging or records you have.
  • Jot down when the problem started and what makes it better or worse.
  • Plan for a little extra time, so nothing feels rushed.

Bio Medical is a cash-pay clinic. HSA and FSA cards are welcome, and we see personal injury cases too, like car accidents. Our team will walk you through fees before your visit, so there are no surprises. We're at 75 Center Circle in Sulphur, an easy drive from Lake Charles, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Carlyss, Vinton and Jennings, and just across the line from Orange and Beaumont.

Questions about your first visit

How long is the first visit?

Long enough that you won't feel rushed. Our team will give you a time estimate when you schedule. Most treatment sessions after that run 15 to 30 minutes.

Will I get treatment on the first day?

Yes. Your first visit includes a test treatment, so we can see how your body responds.

Do I need a referral or an MRI?

No. If you have imaging or records, bring them. They help.

Do you take insurance?

We're a cash-pay clinic. HSA and FSA cards are welcome, and we also see personal injury cases. Our team will go over fees before you come in.

I was in a car accident. Can I come in?

Yes. We see personal injury cases. Call or text us and our team will explain how it works.

What if I'm nervous about being adjusted?

Tell us. Nothing happens without an explanation first, and you can always say no.

Ready when you are.

You don't need to have it all figured out. Tell us what's going on, and we'll tell you honestly whether Bio Medical is the right fit, before you commit to anything.
