Our Approach
The ARK Method: care that looks past the spot that hurts.
Adaptive Response Kinetics is the way we care for the whole person. Your brain and body are always talking to each other. We look at how your spine, muscles, balance and nervous system work together, explain what we find in plain words, and adjust as you respond.
Your brain and body are in a constant conversation.
Every time you stand, turn or take a step, information travels both ways. Your eyes, inner ear, muscles and joints report where you are. Your brain and spinal cord use that feedback to coordinate posture and balance. Then you move, and the cycle starts again.
Your spine is part of that conversation, along with the muscles that support it and the senses that keep you oriented. ARK pays attention to all of it: the movement, the strength behind it and the nervous system guiding it. 2
What we actually look at.

BTrackS: how you control your balance.
BTrackS records small shifts in pressure beneath your feet during a short balance task. It gives us a window into how your nervous system and muscles perform together, and helps us track change over time. 3

Moti Physio: a picture of posture and movement.
A camera-based scan documents how you stand and move. Seeing it makes it easier to talk through, and to compare later. 4
Strength and movement testing.
Hands-on muscle testing and simple movement tasks show what you can produce and control. We revisit them as one more way to see how you're responding.
No single result explains a person. The value is in reading them together, alongside what you tell us. Comfort and capability can change at different rates, so we talk about progress in several ways: comfort, strength, steadiness, movement and confidence.
A connected assessment. A plan that adapts.
Understand your starting point.
Every visit starts with a brief exam. Dr. Brett or Dr. Derrek talks through your concerns and goals, checks how you move, and adds an assessment only when it answers a real question.
Choose purposeful care.
Depending on what we find, care may include chiropractic adjustments, hands-on muscle work, targeted activation, or movement and balance work. Each piece is explained as part of your plan.
Check the response.
We recheck what matters and ask what's changing outside the clinic. How long does relief last? What brings the pain back? Are you getting back to what you love?
Adapt the next step.
Your response guides what we continue, progress or change. If something calls for a different kind of evaluation, Dr. Brett or Dr. Derrek will tell you. The technology supports the process. Your story gives the numbers their meaning.
Your plan grows with you.
Lasting change comes from what you do consistently: the right activity, strength work and balance practice. 5 For some people that means planned follow-ups for symptoms that tend to return. For others it means more independence with an occasional check-in. Research supports maintenance care as an option for some people with recurring low-back pain who responded well to initial care. 6
You've been patient with this long enough. Let's take a real look.
Tell us what's been going on and what you've already tried. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, before you commit to anything.
