SoftWave

For the everyday moments pain has started to change.

SoftWave therapy treatment at Bio Medical

The pause before you stand up.
The reach you've stopped making.
The stairs you take one at a time.

Maybe it's the knee that makes you think twice about kneeling in the garden. Maybe it's the shoulder that won't let you lift your grandchild the way you used to. These are small moments, and they matter.

What SoftWave is

SoftWave uses unfocused acoustic waves. There are no needles and no medication, and most sessions take 10 to 20 minutes.

Video provided by SoftWave TRT. Every visit starts with a brief exam so our provider can decide if SoftWave is a good fit for you. Individual results vary.

Will this help my knee?

SoftWave is FDA-cleared for the relief of minor muscle aches and pains, to temporarily increase local blood circulation, and for the activation of connective tissue. At Bio Medical, people most often ask us about it for the knee and the shoulder, the aches that have hung around long enough to change how you move. It may help as part of a plan. It isn't right for everyone, and we'd rather tell you that up front than after.

What a session is like

You'll sit or lie comfortably while the applicator is moved over the area. Most people feel a tapping or pulsing sensation. If anything feels like too much, tell us and we'll adjust. When you're done, you can usually get right back to your day.

You've been patient with this long enough. Let's take a real look.

Every visit starts with a brief exam. Our provider will tell you plainly what SoftWave would and wouldn't do for you, and only recommend it when it's a fit. If it isn't, we'll talk about what might be. We'll review your health history first to make sure it's a fit for you.

Part of a plan

SoftWave often works alongside the rest of your care here, like chiropractic adjustments, hands-on work and exercise. We recheck as you go. Is kneeling easier? Can you reach a little higher? Your answers guide what comes next.

Close to home

We're at 75 Center Circle in Sulphur, and we see people from Lake Charles, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Carlyss, Vinton, Jennings, Beaumont, Orange and across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas.

Questions about SoftWave

Does it hurt? Are there needles?

There are no needles and no medication. Most sessions take 10 to 20 minutes.

How do I know if SoftWave is right for me?

That's what the exam is for. Our provider will look at what's going on and tell you honestly whether SoftWave fits.

What should I do first?

Apply to become a patient, or text or call us at 337-485-4349. We'll take it from there.

Do I need surgery?

That's a decision for you and a surgeon, and we won't tell you to skip their advice. If you want to know whether a non-surgical option is worth trying first, come in. Our provider will take a real look and tell you honestly.

How many sessions will I need?

SoftWave is usually a short series rather than a single visit. Our provider will give you the plan, and the costs, after your exam. You decide.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. We're a cash-pay clinic, HSA and FSA cards are welcome, and we also see personal injury cases.

Individual results vary. SoftWave is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

A place to become whole. Let's start with a conversation.

Tell us what's going on and what you'd like to get back to. We'll tell you honestly whether SoftWave fits, before you commit to anything.
